International Women’s Day left the gals at HQhair feelin’ totally inspired. So inspired, in fact, that we declared that March would be the month that we would March On from any stigmas that we faced and push the boundaries like the strong and sassy individuals that we are! So, it’s only natural that we have been lovin’ music, books, films, beauty products and Instagrammers that encourage us to release our inner-Sasha Fierce.
Music
Despite being on the music scene since 2012, Zara Larsson's international debut album 'So Good' was only released this March. It's safe to say that it's been well worth the wait and if you're after the sort of album where you can roll your car window down and sing along at the top of your lungs, then you're most probably going to love it. Not only is this album our new obsession, but Zara herself is a proud feminist, unafraid to voice her opinion. You only need to check out her Twitter to know that she slays in every way.

Books
If we're ever wanting to feel inspired, then we always dig out our trusty #Girlboss book by the ultimate #GirlBoss herself: Sophia Amoruso. In this book, Sophia shares her secrets of how she went from a dumpster-diving, community college drop out to the CEO of the major online retailer Nasty Gal. Not really the reading type? Not to worry, as last year Netflix announced that they would be releasing #Girlboss in the form of a scripted comedy that is due to launch in April. Yep, that's right. April. As in the month that is a few weeks away - eek!

Film
Our fave film this month has had to be Hidden Figures, a film that tells the story of three African-American women who were the brains behind NASA's launch of John Glenn into orbit. Not only did this film make us LOL, but it also made us leave the cinema with tears of mascara down our cheeks. If you're looking for a film that's going to make you feel like you can do anything if you put your mind to it, then this is the one for you!

Beauty Products
This month, we've been all about the brands with inspiring female founders. We've been obsessing over MDMflow ever since they first launched on HQhair back in June last year. Not only because their lipsticks are the bomb, but also because the founder Florence Adepoju is the fiercest in the business! Florence swapped studying Pharmacy for a place on the Cosmetic Science course at London College of Fashion. In between the lab and the library, she daydreamed of building a beauty empire and that is exactly what she did with MDMflow! The gold bullet packaging and the quirky, hip-hop inspired names are enough to make us drool, but the ultra-creamy texture and longevity of the Liquid Matte Lipstick's formula definitely places it right at the top of our beauty wishlist RN!
Instagrammers
Shannon Alexandra is an award-winning beauty and lifestyle blogger, but that's not all. This ultimate boss babe is also a full-time university student studying Pre-Medical Biology. Yep, she's totally killlin' it. Shannon also took part in our Slay Belles campaign back in December (doesn't that seem like forever ago!?), where she took the part of Vixen. This gal is the example that you can be super busy, whilst still slayin' the game.
