When it comes to hair treatments guaranteed to bring your hair back from whatever bleach or heat you've put it through, Olaplex is constantly the name we hear over and over again. We wanted to know whether it was worth the hype, so we nabbed a bottle for Emily from HQ's head office so we can put it to the test and share our Olaplex reviews.
Olaplex Reviews: Olaplex No. 3
Our PR Executive Emily has quite fine hair that's been under a lot. She gets highlights so the bleach impacts on overall hair condition, and she finds that she has quite a lot of flyaways and frizz pre-styling.
"When I first opened the bottle, I was pretty impressed with the smell. My hair's quite porous as I've dyed it loads, so find that it really takes on whatever scent the product has, so it's pretty important to me!
I reckon I'd be able to get about four or five uses from the bottle, and got to work applying it on my roots. I left it on for ten minutes, then added a bit more to roots. After another five minutes, I headed into the shower to wash it off. I don't like leaving hair masks on my ends for too long, as I find it weighs my hair down."
"As these photos definitely show, my hair looks a lot less frazzled! Where my hair was originally pretty brittle, it's now a lot smoother and I found it easier to blow dry my hair too.
The main part of my Olaplex review is to point out that my hair was a lot more manageable after using it; it's softer, shinier and doesn't need any leave-in conditioner to make sure it stays the way I want it."
