May the wings of your eyeliner forever be even. We all know it isn't that simple though. Winged eyeliner has been a thing since the days of Cleopatra, and was believed to ward off the 'evil eye'. It made it's way into Hollywood in the '50s with the likes of Bridgette Bardot and Sophia Loren lining their eyes with sharp wings. It's a trend that has been around for a very long time, and we definitely don't see it going anywhere any time soon.

Step 1: Get some card to guide you
Grab yourself a piece of card, credit card, or something else thin, but sturdy enough to draw against, and place it against your lower lashline, pointing it diagonally up towards your brow.
Step 2: Line the rest of your eye
Starting from the inner corner of your eye, line the rest of your eye outwards to meet the flick you just created. Voila!
