Didn't quite catch that? Read our step by step below!

1.

Brush hair through and part a large section from one side of your head. Take a large layer of hair from the top and split it into two sections. Take a small piece of hair from the outside of one section, cross it over the top to the inside of the second section. Repeat, alternating which side you are taking the hair from.

2.

As you move down the hair, start to bring in the underneath layers. Continue until all of the hair in the first section is braided and secure at the bottom with an elastic. Split the rest of your hair into two sections, and repeat step one, weaving in the smaller braid you created earlier. Tie an elastic around the end. Grab some hair grips and secure the smaller braid around your head.
3.

Tease the hair slightly into your own style. You can go sleek and sassy by neatening up the flyaways, or effortlessly messy by pulling at the edges of the braid and loosening everything up a little. Finish the look with a spritz of Redken Wax Blast to make sure your braid can handle the waves!

Where will you be rocking the mermaid vibes this summer?
